When reviewing the “School Ratings” section of the District Report Card, the category “School Characteristics” designates a rating that is based solely on participation in the Oregon State Assessments. EAHS received an “Unacceptable” rating because they fell below the minimum of 95% of their 10th grade students participating in the assessments.
There were 16 10th graders and 2 of them did not participate in these assessments (87.5%). This caused EAHS to fall short of the 95% requirement and resulted in an “Unacceptable” rating. EAHS’s “School Improvement Plan” has established a goal and strategies to correct this situation in the future.
