Estacada High School Welcomes ASPIRE

A new resource became available for students attending Estacada High School beginning in the fall of 2007.  Thanks to a two-year AmeriCorps grant, written by counselor Debbie Brochis, Estacada was selected to be an ASPIRE school. The EHS ASPIRE program is now in its fifth year, providing post-high school planning and mentoring services to students. No experience is required, and training and support are provided.

What is ASPIRE?

Administered by the Oregon Student Access Commission (OSAC), ASPIRE, which stands for Access to Student Assistance Programs in Reach of Everyone, seeks to provide Oregon high school students solid pathways beyond high school. ASPIRE matches trained adult volunteers with high school students to provide one-on-one mentoring. ASPIRE Advisors guide students through the process of applying for college, financial aid, and scholarships.
